“Well I have a thing to tell you and it won’t take long. The way I feel about it is a kind of a song….” – Snuggle Puppy by Sandra Boynton.
I just got used to saying you were 13 months, and you are already 14 months!! Somehow, you keep getting cuter and cuter. It’s amazing to see your little grey cells start to make sense of your world – you can follow simple directions like picking things up, knocking on the door, closing the door and you’re able to communicate when you’re hungry or thirsty. You use the “more” sign for everything, even though I try and show you please, thank you, eat, drink and help at every chance! Our days are spent roaming around the house, looking at pictures, reading books, babbling “dah-dee, dah-gee” – I can’t wait to hear “mommy” or even “up” or “yes”. I know it’s coming.
You have the greatest power to melt our hearts when you give hugs and kisses – especially when they come spontaneously from you.
I’m still in awe.
Fuzzy little snuggly puppy, I love you!
Have you heard her CD, “Philadelphia Chickens”? It’s one of those CDs that my kids (ages 4 and 8) and husband and I can all agree on, in the car. That, and Queen’s Greatest Hits album.
Baby love is a beautiful thing.
Awww! I can’t wait to see her again. Snuggle Puppy is/was one of our favorites too. And katesaid is right, Philly Chickens is so fun!
Snuggle Puppy is one of my youngest daughters’ favorite books!
