Life has quickly gotten the better of me. In short (pictures to follow tonight I hope):
I applied for a trip to the Arctic.
I received a final package from my Knitty Mellow Pal – I have some gorgeous blue-green mohair yarn and 2 skeins of Noro Silk Garden, “Simple Knits with a Twist”, and fabric – an awesome pal!
I received the “Yarn Aboard box from Jessica which had some of Claudia Hand Painted Yarn in the most gorgeous shades of blue / green and a lantern moon bag (so spring like) – my box is currently waiting in the car to go to the post office.
My dog was the cutest little German-American posing as an Irish-dog on St. Patrick’s Day.
My internet has been up and down. I have to replace the router.
I’ve been working on Daffodils and Tulips and bunnies.
I’m going into New York City this weekend – hopefully I’ll find the Japanese book store for crafty things. The empire state building is on the list. Not sure what else.
I think this is a great idea

Wow! A trip to the Arctic?! Very good thing you’re a knitter :O)Thanks for doing Yarn Aboard with us! Hope life calms down for you soon!
I’m so glad the box made it there safely. Now that you’ve received your box, I can start commenting on your blog. I hope that you enjoy your yarn. It will be fun to see what you knit up.
That Guppy sweater is too freaking cute. Please make it! :)Looking forward to lots of details about this potential Arctic Adventure the next time I see you!
My dog is not as good a model as yours. So cute!Li
Just in the car, now already in Iceland. Thank you so much, Becca! Your goodies were so carefully chosen, I am very very hapy with everything you sent! I can’t wait to cast on with the yarn but I am also so excited to play with the magic sheep. I have some plastic ducks that change colour when changing from hot to cold water but the effect is wearing off on my nieces. I could also already use the needle protectors. Thank you again for the lovely surprise!Hey, I am so excited for the Artic trip for you. Good luck!
