Yarn: A little sparkle is always fun! This is the Navy Zeal colorway of Dream in Color Starry – a nice navy with a touch of silver sparkle. I think I figured this would be nice for a shawl like the Metallurgy Shawl.
Pattern: Any pattern by Veronik Avery catches my eye. This sweater, Notre Dame De Grace, I actually got to see in person on Ann Budd at the Knitters Review retreat I attended by in 2010. It was stunning and looked so cozy. I do wonder if the double seed stitch texture would drive me crazy while knitting or if the rhythm of the stitches would eventually settle in. Someday I would really like to make this sweater!
I wish I could learn to make something like that sweater with that pretty yarn.
