While I do have other projects to be working on (always!), I am really glad that I started the “I’m 37 I’m not Old Blanket”! The first stripe is just about done. I picture the length to be slightly longer than I am tall. Life in this little nutshell has been tiring lately and in the evening when there is a chance to sit and veg, this project is perfect. The same stitch carries you across each row, the yarn is beautiful, and there’s nothing to pay attention to really because it’s gotta be long! Just keep crocheting. The BonBons are sweet – though the first one does have a mistake design feature of eyelets continuing on the palm of the hand. Ah well, so it goes. This first one is about ready for the ribbed cuff, then I will start the second one. I used a provisional cast on, with the thinking that when both mitts are done I can go back and add some length to use up more yardage too. I also started a crochet cowl that looks like a little grey squiggle at the moment.
I have only read a page or two in my book. I returned a book to the library this week and had a moment of book envy, as a book I really want to read (Girl on the Train) was available in area for books that can be borrowed for 7 days (no renewals). I wanted to grab it, but I thought it wouldn’t be fair to the first book and I would hate to not finish this book too.
Ooh I’ve heard this one is really good. 🙂 It’s a favourite of a friend of mine.
There are times when a mindless project is perfect. I love the colors you are using.
I think you’d finish Girl on a Train. It’s very gripping!
