Another week, another book, and unfortunately not because I finished The Secret Place. I would consider picking it up again at some future point, I just couldn’t get through it in a week. I had also grabbed Dark Places from the library and I am really glad that I did. I loved Gone Girl and thought Sharp Objects was ok. This one is up there with Gone Girl, I’m looking forward to reading it and making time to read it over breakfast, lunch, and when the kids are playing.
My WIPs this week feel like a study in opposites. I’m working on two sweaters, one knit bottom-up in a chunky weight yarn on US13s and the other is top-down in a DK weight on US4s. Each project is pretty satisfying. The sample knit is a pretty colorway that shifts from green to gray to a light sunshine yellow gold and cream. The teal colorway of my Camp Loopy sweater just makes me really happy; I’m looking forward to trying it on soon to make sure it will fit correctly. I’ve also just about finished my first Rose City Roller sock and can feel the itch of cast-on-itis: More socks! Do another Shawl! Start those fall sweaters NOW! But, as my desk-dog will tell you, there’s work to be done first.
Love your reference to Cast-on-itis! Hopefully you can cure it soon! 🙂
I haven’t read Gone Girl, and I don’t know why. I read the other two and liked them a lot.
The teal color is a truly happy color. Just wearing the sweater will make you feel good!
Desk dog…giggle……yeah..I gave in to that start it is a little bit…
