Yarn: Sadly, the yarn I selected for this S post has been discontinued. Sockotta, from Plymouth Yarn, was one of the first sock yarns I used to knit socks – and I still have those socks! This is the yarn I have used to make different HeartCats, it works up so nicely and had wonderful colors. I have been stockpiling it and scooping it up from other yarn stash sales on Ravelry. It’s a nice blend of cotton, superwash wool, and nylon and still is easy to care for (washer / dryer friendly!). If you happen to know of a similar yarn, please do let me know – I’m good for a while, but I would like to know a few options that I could substitute for this yarn when the time comes.
Pattern: Several pages of my queue contain patterns that start with the letter S. I’ve decided to go with the one most recently added to my library thanks to a giveaway! I entered the giveaway on VeryShannon.com for the Lorelai Shawl KAL and I was a winner of that pattern, plus two additional patterns (thank you random number generator and Shannon!). One of the patterns I chose was Schwimmen, queued last October. It looks to be a wonderful hat! Selfish knitting for the win!
Beautiful knitting and yarns. Here from the A-Z and glad I stopped by.
All the best,
Nilanjana.
