I’m excited to share two recently finished items – an elephant and a baby blanket for my cousin who is expecting a baby later this month. This is the third time I have knit the Baby Squared Blanket pattern, and it won’t be the last. I absolutely love how the Encore Colorspun works up in this pattern and have used it previously in a Rainbow blanket and a blanket for Nate. (oh my goodness, look how wee he was!) Two skeins of yarn makes a perfect car-seat / stroller / baby snuggling on your chest blanket and it washes so well. This colorway “Oceandrift” and I loved the greys, blues, and teals in there. I also knit up a little buddy for the new little guy using Encore Worsted, an Elephant, pattern from Amy Gaines. The construction of this stuffie was so clever but not complicated. I would make it again and would totally recommend it if you were looking to make a toy. It felt like the longest part was attaching the toes!
Those colors are so beautifui!
Oh my, I love both your gifts – your cousin will be so pleased! I really love grey, so they look lovely.I have put both those patterns in my Rav library – thanks for showing them!
Adorable. Will have to mark that blanket pattern.
well done, love the blanket pattern.
Cute projects – the elephant is adorable but I’m in love with the blanket!
