I’ve got a finished object to share and I don’t want to wait until Friday. I expect that I will be blogging on a bit of a random schedule for the next few weeks. I’m trying to organize and plan and prep and get the creative mojo going again and also relax and enjoy the time home with my kids while they have winter break. Anyway, more on that later. Today, I present to you, my Deer Dachshund.
A friend posted this image to Facebook a while back asking if it’s something I could make. I had just queued the Deer Antler Snood by GreyBaby Crochet! I did make a few minor adjustments to account for Jackson’s own head size, otherwise the pattern is as is. I really had fun making this, and poor Jackson, when I stuck it on him last night he just looked at me for a minute while I laughed like a crazy lady.
If I were to do this again (and I might), I would make the cowl part a bit more snug. As a cowl, it looks nice on Jackson, but doesn’t really stay on his head.
These photos were only possible with the power of cheese. Jackson was promptly compensated for these moments of interfering with his dignity, though he may disagree.
