For the first Camp Loopy project, we had to incorporate something we’d like to “Spy” on vacation / safari. I already had the pattern in mind, Coast Starlight Shawl by verybusymonkey. When I was browsing the yarn the Dirty Panther colorway of madelinetosh tosh merino light jumped out at me. Sure, I’m not at all likely to ever see a panther on the coast, but it could be pretty cool.
This was a very straightforward pattern and I have a few grams left over from the skein. It blocked beautifully too.
My daughter declared it cozy and that she felt like a bat. I’m mostly impressed that she was a willing model! Longtime readers of this blog may not recognize this kid, but frequently she was in tears when I tried to photograph her with anything I knit / crochet for her after the age of 6 months up through age 6.5 when she was Elsa for Halloween. Anyway. I’m completely pleased with this project and look forward to wearing it in colder times!
She’s adorable! What a fun looking pattern (I can totally see the bat reference :p)
That is a lovely shawl. I’m glad your model is back on the job!
