I made yarn! Maybe it’s a bit unusual to post about yarn as a FO? The way I see it, I did finish spinning the fiber, I finished soaking it, thwacking it, and let it dry. So it is ready to knit into something. It is still a bit corkscrewy on itself, so I’m not sure how that will play out. I hope there would be enough to knit up something maybe from the 50 yards of fun book? This is my third little skein and I can see a lot of improvement. I am happy that I have stuck with Tour de Fleece and I am learning a lot. This is made up of a wee bag of dyed samples. I loved seeing the different colors slip by my fingers to the spindle. It was in that mindset that I purchased this braid of fiber (222 Handspun) last week!
I am a bit scared to take it apart and start spinning it. But I probably should just bite the bullet – I’m not going to have enough to try plying if I only stick with small samples!
