I have so many WIPs going on right now, my knitting bag / basket / project area is starting to overflow. I started taking a look at what was in there to see if there was anything I could possibly move along. I started a Reversible Crochet Baby Blanket earlier this spring intending to give it to a friends baby (who arrived last month) but in the end I’ll be keeping it. It just needed a few more rows and now it is 33″ long. Jackson took to it right away.
This was very much a stash busting project; I’ve used up most of three big skeins of Red Heart yarn, so that’s good. I also have a length of fleece that I want to attach to the back of the blanket. That will probably take me a while to get around to actually doing, so for now, this project is getting a toss in the wash and being marked as finished. I would make this again, but maybe next time only holding two yarns together. I am also considering maybe double crochet instead of single crochet too, as this blanket is quite dense and heavy.
I have marked a lot of fabric on etsy as “Favorites” for this sort of project – so tempting!
I really like that blanket. It looks similar to one I pinned on pinterest that uses a couple strands of yarn at the same time. Looks like a quick pattern with a thick and cuddly result. Love the idea of fabric on the back as well.
Awww. all I can see is the puppy!
