Hurrah! I got my act together and finished the purple cabled mitts that were just a thumb away from being complete in Wednesday’s post. This is the Fingerless Gloves / Stulpen pattern, a free Ravelry download and the yarn is Marigoldjen 100% Superwash Merino Worsted in the Magic Wand colorway. This is my second time to knit this pattern in this yarn (different colorway) and I am confident that it is not the last. I so want to keep these for myself. However, the yarn was purchased with someone in mind and the project was started (last year) to be a gift, so I will follow through and give them to my friend!
The recipient is a busy New Yorker, and frequently when she comes to visit she brings cheesecake and wine, hence the inspiration for my finished object photos! The different lighting in my house (natural light deflected or reflected depending where I was) certainly changes the color in the photos. Color is most accurate in the photo on the left.
beautiful cabling, what a lovely gift to give to your friend
Thank you! There is something so special about cables!
One of my favorite patterns. No reason why I haven’t already knit these!!! Now they are going on my must knit now list. Yours are beautiful, the color is gorgeous.
I’m pretty sure I’ll make this pattern at least one more time! 🙂
These look lovely! I wonder if I’d have the patient to knit myself a pair… will have to queue that pattern and find the courage hehe.
Lovely blog! Hope you stay warm and happy knitting 😀
They move along pretty quick! Go for it!
