Projects in pieces, appropriate for a work-in-progress Wednesday post right?
Shown here are the front and back sides of the Watercolor Pillow I’m making for the Sophomore year assignments of Loopy Academy. I am hoping it all works out okay, because man, my colorwork heart is a bit wonky. I should have given a lot more slack when carrying the yarn in back. Should I reknit the front part with the colorwork? I don’t want to, but I’m thinking I will probably be happier with the end result. That project may end up hibernating for a while. The brown cabled piece is a new sweater for Jackson that needs a bit of seaming. Not shown are the current sample knitting job and a few hats for charity.
I have borrowed a copy of Still Alice and am about halfway through it. It’s heart-wrenching and not a light-hearted read, but it is powerful and sticks with you.
