This year I am participating in Spinzilla – a week long spinning event. I’m putting my knitting and crochet projects on hold for the week while I spin along as a member of Team Louet!
During Tour de Fleece this summer, I really got the hang of using my drop spindle. These are the yarns I spun during the July event.
This is the fiber I have stashed and almost ready to go. I hope to do the team proud and to make a significant contribution to the team yardage – every bit counts! I have some natural colorways of Shetland, Corriedale Cross, and Jacob fiber from Louet, Hey Lady Hey in Elly (pinkish one), Cloudlover in Dowager Countess (purpley) and 222 Handspun (the neony). I’m not going to get into plying, as I still haven’t tried that yet. I just realized, I have one more fiber braid not pictured – it’s Fairy Godmother from LladyLlamaFiber
Here we go!
Haha! I will cheer for you. I didn’t do TdF this year due to travel, and I have yet to commit to a team for Spinzilla. Maybe next year? 🙂
Thanks!
Your fiber looks lovely, and I love that photobooth series at the end!
Thanks! Yes, the photobooth series was a good summary I thought 🙂
