I finished April’s Personal Sock Club this week. The yarn, a purple / green self-striper from the now nonexistent Rainy Days & Wooly Dogs, is called “Sailor Pluto” but, I took to calling these my Vigorous Violets. The name is actually a nail polish I picked up when my niece, Violet, got to go home from the hospital in March, and seemed appropriate. I knit on them while going back to the hospital to visit her in April and in May (two separate stays). I started to use the Blomster pattern, but found when I wanted to knit socks, I just wanted to knit, I didn’t want to look at a chart. So I kept just two flowers on each foot. Another fish lips kiss heel was used, and that’s really my go to now – I didn’t even need to use the directions! I love the result.
