Over the weekend I rediscovered Head to Toe: Kids Knit Accessories – there are a number of great patterns in there! As I talked about last time, I have a case of start-itis, and so I started a new project. I offered the book to my daughter to pick out a few things I could make her for next winter. She has lovely taste (read: expensive) and interesting ideas on colors. Anyway, we’ve got a list to work from now, and while I see about working from stash or ordering the yarn, I started a Wylam hat for my son. I have a skein of Sweet Georgia Superwash Chunky in Bison from an eat.sleep.knit grab bag purchase last year. It’s a nice dinosaur brown, in my opinion.
I finished Dark Places – it was excellent. Creepy, dark, good summer read. If you liked Gone Girl, you would probably like Dark Places. I picked up Make Something Up by Chuck Palahniuk – it’s a new book of short stories. So far, I’ve read one story. It is very dark and twisted, completely as is his style. That’s ok though.
Other projects that have gotten love this week: I am seaming my sample knit, one Rose City Roller sock is done and the next is cast on, and my Camp Loopy sweater continues to grow!
LOL about your daughter….you have some lovely prone ts going on…
What is it with kids and expensive tastes? I know my two have an innate attraction to pricey items.
You are getting so much knitting done. I’m impressed!
