Yarn: C is for Cashmere. And yes, that’s how you say it. There’s emphasis when you talk up cashmere…. along the lines of Precious. It’s lovely. This particular skein from my yarn stash is Hand Maiden 4 ply Cashmere, 100% cashmere, in the Salt Spray colorway. There are no immediate plans for it, beyond rediscovering it in my stash every now and again and giving it a loving squish.
Pattern: This was tough to pick today – I have a lot of cabled items in the queue and several sweaters by designer Thea Coleman (Cassis, Chartreuse, and Collins), but I decided to go with one of the older queued patterns, the Campus Jacket by Amy Christoffers. I am always drawn to her designs. Doesn’t this sweater look so wonderfully cozy? I’m an out of season knitter – I swear – as we approach spring and warmer days I should not be thinking about a bulky cardigan, however, if I start now it could be ready for the fall!
I’ve not seen the A to Z challenge before. cool….gotta love cashmere. 🙂
Thanks for those lovely cable recommendations. i am currently doing a fairisle sweater and it is driving me crazy and making me determined to go back to cabling.
Woo… how long would it take to knit a sweater like that? @.@

It depends on a number of factors but a month to 6 weeks is probably my average. it could be done in less time (my personal record for a sweater is two weeks – but that’s all I w worked on, as much as I could!
