Yarn: There is one Q colorway in my stash and one Q yarn in my stash – easy choice for this post! This is Quince & Co Chickadee. I had the pleasure of seeing this yarn at the Knitters Review retreat in 2010, early in its release, and I kicked myself for not stashing some up then. Last summer, on a trip to Burlington, VT, we stopped in a sweet LYS (Nido) and they had a wall of it. No second guessing that yarn purchase, it was coming home with me. Now I’m thinking I should have gotten one more of the off-white (I have 2 purple, 1 white) because the Madalynn pattern caught my eye today and that calls for two of each color.
Pattern: Queen City flittens from Knitty.com combine so many things I love: cables, flittens, and a free pattern! These have been queued since December, 2009… one of these days I will get around to actually making them!
