Yarn: One of the most fun ways to enhance your stash is to make a big purchase with a friend and split it. Last year sometime, Betsy & I went in together on a grab bag from Webs, and this was part of my score. Valley Yarns in the Webs “house yarn” as it were. This is Buckland, an aran weight merino-nylon-silk blend. There is enough for a sweater, so I need to do some swatching to figure what might work best for it. Nothing has caught my eye just yet.
Pattern: My yarn stash is heavy on the sock and fingering yarns. Each skein usually has 400 – 450 yards, which gives you a lot of options for projects. Sock yarn is also hard for me to resist. The color or the colorway name is usually what grabs me. I queued Vittorio, by Corrina Ferguson, thinking it would be a great project for those sock yarns that maybe I don’t want to keep on my feet, but rather around my neck and shoulders to show-off the fantastic colors!
