Yarn: My yarn choice today is 100% Pure Yak Down Bijou Spun by Bijou Basin Ranch. According the yarn page description, this fiber is Warmer than wool and softer than cashmere, this yarn is suitable for next-to-skin wear. Yak fiber is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for those with allergies to wool. All good things in my book. This yarn really should be used and not left sitting in my stash!
Pattern: Yugake Armwarmers by Olga Jazzy are my only queued “Y” pattern! I really like the simple texture of these and I know I would wear them a lot during the transitional weather that comes in spring and fall. Why haven’t I made them already? Because I am easily distracted by the next project. Always and forever, that’s the way it goes. This pattern calls for a sport weight yarn, and I think the Bijou Spun Yak will pair nicely here.
Gonna have to spend some time looking around your blog. Wished I’d found you earlier in the challenge. I’ve not heard of that yarn, but it’s sounds like a good solution for some who are anti-wool.
Congratulations on completing the A to Z blogging challenge! You are almost there!
Don’t forget about the A to Z Reflections post coming up in May.
