First things first, I have an update to my last post: I found my hat! Good news, because it’s snowing again this morning. Supposedly it will all melt this afternoon. I’m ok with April showers but I have to say, I am over the snow.
I finished a Bonny top that I had hoped to wear on Easter, but it’s just not warm enough yet. I wanted to use some of the lace weight yarn in my stash but lace weight shawls are not my favorite sort of project. One skeinĀ of Madelinetosh Prairie was enough to make this sleeveless top. The Nassau Blue color, with some of my favorite shades of blues and greens, is bright and cheery. I really love the finished result. I want to find a different color layer for underneath and possibly reblock the neck. It’s meant to be loose and drapey, but mine seems to roll and fumble in an awkward way. Likely I am the only one to really notice or care about that.
Yesterday I wound yarn for 3 new projects and cast on for all three. If it’s not going to be spring outside, at least I can surround myself with brightly colored yarn! Here’s one, it will be a crochet shawl and those minis sparkle!
