Gnome Solo

How’s the view from where you are? I’ve been finding comfort and distraction in knitting big chunky hats but this weekend I joined in the Eat.Sleep.Knit Flash KAL to make a gnome.

I pulled out plenty of stash bits and was planning to make more than one. It was a bit more fiddly and required more of my attention than I expected, so only one is done. There’s only so many times I can tell my family, “I gotta get back to making gnomes!” while they are waiting on the promise of homemade pretzels.

I used the Here We Gnome Again pattern with fingering weight yarn. He is weighted a bit with some poly pellets inside a tiny ziploc bag. My tiniest pompom maker is currently missing (let’s blame The Borrowers).

This was a fun project, with gorgeous cables. Here’s hoping he brings a bit of good luck to my home!
