I have Halloween projects to share! We were invited to a Halloween party, so I made a little bat as a gift for the hosts.
He’s knit in Kraemer Yarns Perfection Lights and super sparkly. He was fun and quick to make, not as fiddly as I was expecting either. I love how the wings can be open or wrapped up around his body, and he hangs upside down!
Nate was a bit more into dressing up for Halloween this year and chose to be a PeaShooter from the Plants Vs Zombies video game. I found a great pattern and whipped it up for him. Add a green jacket and borrow a planter from a friend who was a flower last year for a relatively easy costume.
For me, I chose a character that is the opposite of my true self.
Crazy Cat lady. She’s a little bit Simpson’s Crazy Cat Lady and the Zombie Cat Lady (again, from Plants vs Zombies). I will say I am a terrible cat lady. I was holding one of the stuffed animals at the town Trunk or Treat event and I dropped it somewhere without realizing it!
I put on the costumer while Lincoln was taking a cat nap (ha!) and totally confused him when he woke up. He was looking at me and sniffing in my direction. He was still a bit puzzled when I talked to him and cornered him for a photo.
May you have more treats than tricks!
that bat, I adore it!!!
