Jump

Jump Rope for heart Before I get to my knitting, today’s shout out for #CHDAwareness is to the Jump Rope for Hearts programs you might hear about at the local schools.  My daughter is participating to raise money for the American Heart Association to support research on children’s heart conditions. This is a great cause (and if you’re so inclined to make a donation, here is where you can do that).

Reading and Wips

Lucky Us has been finished and returned to the library where I picked up Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell.  I started it last night, was immediately sucked in, did a little knitting and then went back to reading. Now that is something that hasn’t happened in a while! The characters are quirky yet identifiable and adorable. This week I’ve worked on a a baby gift that needs putting together, a sample knitting project that had to be frogged and restarted, and Dan’s socks (slowly but surely they are coming along. I love this yarn and I’m enjoying working the sock on dpns even if it is a bit slower). It feels good to give each of the projects a jump if only there were more minutes in the day. Time has been eaten up by an under-the-weather kid, dealing with more winter weather (snow and ice) and it’s impact (I’ve got a leaky window), and the regular day-to-day stuff you have to get done.  How are you?

    1. Somewhat. I liked the beginning and then I felt it sort of fell apart… I was left feeling unsettled and unresolved. So I’m not totally sure.

  1. Love it when a book sucks me in like that. The book I’m currently reading was the first of that kind in awhile for me and it kind of surprised me how hooked I was from the beginning!
