My family is a Star Wars family. Video games, Lego sets, t-shirts, and movies (Episodes 4-7+Rogue One are the best) are referenced on a daily basis. The new Star Wars: Knitting the Galaxy book exceeded my expectations for a pattern book.
Everyone spotted a pattern they wanted and I did not have the right yarn, so there was a bit of shopping.
The C3PO Droid Pillow just needs seaming!
The Death Star Pillow is also coming along nicely, if not slowly only due to the yarn color. I had trouble finding sparkly sock weight yarn in a black, but Kraemer Yarns Sterling in Tuxedo fit the bill. I’m holding it together with SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Charcoal. This is going to be a nice pillow. My son, the likely recipient, did ask, “So… is the Death Star a family pillow? Or will you make one for each person?” I’m only planning one Death Star at this point in time!
There is no lack of faith in my knitting as I am sure the force is with me on these projects!
