Just like that another Rhinebeck is done!
On Saturday, my plan was to socialize more than shop. I found my knitting group fairly quickly – obviously, it was hard to miss this group. We should have taken orders because not only were we frequently stopped for photos but people wanted to if we bought our hats at the festival. That is the highest compliment I suppose. I enjoyed the chance to meet fellow fiber friends from Ravelry and while I was hoping to say hello in person to many more, there was just too much to see! Both days seemed to bring out the crowds.
The whole atmosphere of Rhinebeck – cool, crisp, New England fall weather, gorgeous yarns, handknits everywhere – makes today feel sort-of ho-hum. Except for the fact that you can cast on for something! I have not yet cast on as I do have WIPs that I’m trying to tackle, but I have been making plans for my new stash. At the top of the photo you can see my newest Stitched By JessaLu bag (a wedge shape!), (clockwise) Gale’s Art Wonder Sock Yarn in Graffiti (I’ve had this in my etsy favorites for a while!), Green Mountain Spinnery Mewesic in Purple Rain, a Solitude Wool Solitude Dots Hat kit, O-Wool O-wash Sport in Appalachain Stone and Bee Balm, Jill Draper Makes Stuff Windham in Clear Skies, and Romney Ridge Farm Willow in merlot. Certainly that will keep me busy until next year! 🙂
You guys looked awesome. Wish I could have been there. 🙁
We missed YOU!
