I have one little FO to share this week, a Tiny Koala, from the Mochimochi Land “Tiny Mochis Collection 6”. She’s cute and weighs only 2.22 grams! The news of the fires in Australia makes my heart heavy. Buying a pattern (or two or three) is a small thing, but it still adds to the donations being made directly.
I have been lurking in a number of groups that are knitting or crocheting nests and pouches to send to Australia for the animal rescues. I want to make a few items, but I hesitate to send stuff – do they really need more stuff? Is it just better to send money? What about the environmental impact of shipping a yarn bowl to the other side of the world? I haven’t jumped all in on that yet.
It’s not just the crafters that are doing what they can to help Australia. Warm weather is expected for this weekend and I’m looking forward to getting outside to support Run for Australia.
