Completed Celadon Shawl

I have finished knitting Ambah O’Brien’s Celadon Shawl! This is a Yarnathon project, part of the Aussie Ambah knit along, and will earn me a number of imaginary points.

My yarn is Manos del Uruguay Fino in Inkwell, a Dorothea mini-skein set, and a little bit of Peacock Plume. It’s enormous! I love how the colors play together. At the pink end, the Inkwell looks grey, and over at the blue end it is more purple.

Shawls are really tricky to photograph. It is longer than my wingspan and there is a lot of fabric! This did not need much blocking, but did finish the project nicely.

This pattern is easy and perfect for an auto-pilot project. It calls for six contrasting colors; do like you wish and use more or less. I did fudge the end of the project to decrease quicker because I was antsy to finish. I’m looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of this shawl and to knitting more of Ambah’s patterns!
