Warm Waffle Mitts

In what may be a personal record, I received yarn for Valentine’s Day and as of last night I have a new pair of fingerless mitts for me!

Mini skeins arranged in a heart shape.

Wasn’t that sweet? Three minis of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino DK in the Forever Yours colorway. It’s an amazing combination of hot pink, neon blue, purples, and charcoal. I chose the Warm Waffle Mitts pattern (free on Ravelry) and worked them two-at-a-time. My only modification was to slightly shorten the length worked on the hand and final ribbing.

I really love how they striped at the bottom in the ribbing and then pooled in the waffle section. They fit just right and I’ve been wearing them all day today. Fingerless mitts are one of those projects that are really tricky to photograph. In the end, I went with silly pictures.

You gotta use what you have when you’re taking photos, right? I have display hands and a dog. If only I could get him to take the pictures…
