Picking Up Where I Left Off

Back in April, I had every intention of blogging. I even felt all cocky that I had a great theme for my next post. While we were watching the Band of Brothers series, I knit on a WWII Watch Cap for Dan. Nutmegknitter's WWII watch cap knit project at the beginning

The hat turned out great and the day I finished it was one of the warmest days we had at that point in the spring. Isn’t that sheep bag great? It’s a mini trundle bag from Madderroot.

See? Great hat! Malabrigo Rios in Vaa is an amazing color. Someday I would like to make one for myself. When I finished I figured we would just stash the hat until fall or so, but we did get outside for pictures. The blues and greens that pop within this charcoal-grey-green are really hard to capture, even in natural light. The next day? Rainy, cold, and overcast. A pattern that kept the winter chill around through oh, Memorial Day.
